One of my many interests and passions is cosplay (short for “costume role play”) It is an activity in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction. Favorite sources include manga, anime, comic books, video games, and films. Mine are: fantasy, sci-fi and occasionally comic books. If it comes to sci-fi my most favorite genre would be Star Trek. I attend every year a few events and conventions. Some of them are the biggest in Europe and some of them are smaller local events suitable for all fans and theirs budgets. London Film and Comic Con is massive show organized by Showmasters Ltd and usually takes place in July. They have lot in store as well as special guests, they include the autograph signings, photoshoots and talks. The others are: Collectormania Festival Milton Keynes, Starfleet Ball (one of the oldest cons), Manchester Expo and I have to add to the list Trekology – very new event dedicated to Star Trek fans, run by group called USS Fortitude and lead by CBS Action TV channel presenter, Trekologist – Raules Davies. There is also the Starfleet/Klingon Banquet. Both the Klingon Banquet and Trekology conventions raise money for charity. And both have style, a great atmosphere and fun. You can meet here wonderful creative people and make new friendships.
Below few memorable moments captured by my camera.
